Litchfield Businesses To Host Fall Festival


Multiple small businesses and craft vendors have teamed up to host Litchfield’s first Fall Festival, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. 

Shoppers should plan to make a day of it. There are over 30 participants for what organizers hope to turn into an annual event. 

Vendors booths will start downtown (400 North State Street) with additional business participants scattered throughout the city.

Along with endless shopping opportunities, Litchfield’s Fall Festival will feature multiple food trucks, a children’s pumpkin-painting station and live music. Social distancing and facial coverings are required to ensure the safety of attendees and vendors. 

Wernsings will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mindorra’s Specialty Photography and Salon will offer a special deal throughout the Fall Festival; for every $25 spent with a vendor, attendees will receive a $25 voucher to spend at a vendor of their choice. Mindorra’s will also hold a special drawing for anyone that books a photo shoot. Color Street Nails, Plunder/Glitter and Grit, Scentsy, Thirty-One,  Tupperwear, Norwex, Tastefully Simple and various craft vendors will also be set up at the studio throughout the event. Hair 51 will be open and My Formals will hold a pop-up shop at the salon. Big T’s HoneyBee Farm will also be set up at Hair 51.

The Briar Rose will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with photo displays and treats for the kids, as well as pumpkins for sale and several fall specials. The Lemonade Factory truck will be set up outside of The Briar Rose serving food from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tina Simpson Crafts, Morgan’s Craft Creations and Wreaths by KML Designs will also be set up outside of The Briar Rose. Acoustic musician Kerry Lee will perform live from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cory Evans-Country Financial will offer pumpkin painting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. J&C Eats food truck will serve breakfast and lunch items outside of the Country Financial office and live music will be on site from noon to 1 p.m. Perry Estelle designs is a participant, and will be joined at their location by Made Em Myself and 5Boys Woordworking. The Overstock Shop will be open with several vendors on site, including Rollin’ Smoke BBQ Truck, Tupperware, Cathy’s Craft Barn, The Potted Shed, Color Street Nails and Nikki and Val’s Crafts.

Sweet Repeats is participating in the fall fun. Litchfield Public Library will host crafts for kids at Short Furniture during the event. Stop by Jubelt’s Bakery for apple and pumpkin treats.

Lindsay’s R/C Hobbies will be open. Phyllbena’s will host Alyssa’s Contessa, Scentsy and Vintage Goods and Antiques at their location.

Cap the night off by heading to the SkyView Drive-In  for a special showing of “Hocus Pocus.” Gates open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $7 per person and those age 5 and under are free.
