Laverne Rose (Brockmeyer) Butler, 97, of Litchfield, formerly of Springfield and Farmersville, died peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Hough Funeral Home in Farmersville is assisting the family.

Mrs. Butler was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Farmersville, to Herman and Emma (Jaeger) Brockmeyer. She married Ford Riley Butler on Sept. 11, 1944, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1985.

She attended Browns Business College, where she received her degree. She had worked for Dickey John in Auburn for ten years as a solderer.

A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Butler was a member of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by her children, Dean (Vicki) Butler and Dana (Jerry) Stieren, both of Farmersville, and Beverly Wright of Trenton; sister-in-law, Vonnie Brockmeyer of Farmersville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wayne Brockmeyer and Donald Brockmeyer; sister, Evelyn Schmidt; son-in-law, Danny Wright; great-great-grandson, Colton Robinson; and great-grandson, Jonathan Butler.
