Kenneth Brooks, 82, of Oconee, died on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Pana.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Brooks was born March 28, 1940, in Indiana, to Audry and Catherine (Haycox) Brooks. He married Barbara Bauerle on May 25, 1963, and she survives.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Brooks was a farmer and of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Brooks is survived by his children, Lana Jo (Patrick) Schweitzer of Springfield and Kenneth Brooks, Jr. of Oconee; and sister, Patsy (Paul) Marley of Oconee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Everett Brooks, Delores Brown and Russell Brooks.
