Kathrine L. (Hulbert) Bowman, 94, of Ramsey, died Friday, June 11, 2021, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 19, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ramsey. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Ramsey Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bowman was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Nokomis, the daughter of Lloyd W. and Josephine (Casselbery) Hulbert. She married John Robert Bowman on April 7, 1945, in Nokomis, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2006.
A former custodian and bus driver for the Ramsey School District, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ramsey.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Tonya) Bowman of Lebanon, Roger (Belinda) Bowman of Altamont and Byron (Vickie) Bowman of Decatur; daughters, Carolyn Selby, Joann Stanbery and Brenda (Mike) Oliver, all of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Alice Bowman of Lexington, KY; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jean Hulbert of Nokomis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, David and Jerry Bowman, and three sons-in-law.
