Karen Ann Scheller, 73, died on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at 4:34 a.m., at Gillespie Health and Rehab.
A graveside service will take place at the Union Miners Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. Becker and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scheller was born on Dec. 30, 1952, to Everett Leslie Schoen and Lorene (Monke) Schoen. She attended Mt. Olive schools and graduated with the class of 1971. She earned an associate degree from Lincoln Land Community College in 1992. Mrs. Scheller worked in health care. She was employed at St. Francis Hospital as a respiratory therapist. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive.
She is survived by a son, Steven (Michelle) Scheller of Cedar Hill, MO; a daughter, Amanda (Terry) Butts of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Caleb Butts and Carly Butts; and three sisters, Kathy Schoen of Walshville, Sandie Schoen of Staunton, and Susie (Freddy) Wesson of Litchfield.
Mrs. Scheller was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Lorene Schoen; husband, Donald Scheller; and son, Christopher Scheller.
