Juanita Casebier Haines, 88, of Canton, MO, died on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at 12:28 p.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton, MO, with Pastor Dawn Gerard officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton, MO.

Mrs. Haines was born Jan. 1, 1933 in Witt, a daughter of John T. and Myrtle A. (Eddington) Armentrout. She married Ben Casebier, Jr. on April 1, 1963, and he died on Sept.3, 1998. She later married Muryl Haines on June 16, 2006, in Palmyra, MO, and he survives in Canton, MO.

Mrs. Haines graduated from Witt High School in 1951, and worked in Springfield for both the federal and state government. She later worked at Colt Industries and Harris Corporation in Quincy before retiring. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton and the United Methodist Women and held various positions in the church. She loved cats, was a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed playing Bunco and working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by several stepchildren; brother-in-law Sid Casebier and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and their husbands, Lavonne (Dale) Clayton and Imogene (Bob) Durbin, sister-in-law, Nancy Casebier, brother and sister-in-law Sam (Mary Lou) Casebier and nephew Chuck Casebier.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to Immanuel United Methodist Church in care of Davis Funeral Home, Canton, MO.
