Jean Carol Niemann, 94, of Litchfield, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the Niemann family.
Mrs. Niemann was born on Sept. 24, 1931, in Lake Park, MN, a daughter of Burley Q. and Carrie (Anderson) Stumbo. She grew up in Ulen, MN, where she completed her high school education before pursuing a degree as a bookkeeper. Her dedication to her studies and her profession reflected her strong work ethic and determination.
She married Don Niemann and built a life filled with love and family.
Mrs. Niemann was an avid reader who found joy in the written word. She had a passion for gardening that brought beauty to her surroundings and sewed quilts that became treasured keepsakes for members of her family. Her creativity and dedication to these hobbies were a testament to the care she poured into everything she did.
Those who knew Mrs. Niemann remember her as an inspiration, a woman of sharp wit and humor who always listened with genuine interest. Her wisdom guided many through life’s challenges, and her love for family was boundless. She was truly the solid rock upon which her family relied, a source of strength and comfort that will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her memory bring solace to all who loved her and inspire them to carry forward the values she held dear.
Mrs. Niemann is survived by her children, Laurel Camden, Carrie (Jay) Heck, Jeff (Sandy) Niemann, Brad (Mary Jane) Niemann and Eric (Janet) Niemann; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Mrs. Niemann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; children, Lynne (infant), Scott Niemann and Donna Clark; and seven siblings. Despite these losses, she remained the steadfast foundation of her family, offering unwavering support and love to those around her.
