James R. “Bob” Reid, 79, of Shipman, died at his residence on Friday, June 5, 2026.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 11, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Reid was born on Dec. 29, 1946, in Litchfield, to James Reid and Lillian Ellen Ray Reid. He married Patricia Sue “Pat” (Bates) Reid on April 26, 1969, in Litchfield. She preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 2021. He was a retired air compressor sales rep. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his sons, James R. “Jim” (Lisa) Reid of Shipman and Gerald “Jerry” (Jodie) Reid of Wilsonville; grandchildren, Kyle (Sidney) Reid, Tyler Reid, Ryan (Bailey Dykes) Reid, Cara (C.J.) Watters, Sam Reid and Joe Reid; great-granchildren, Kinsley Watters, Tatum Watters and a great-grandson expected in a month.
Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his parents and spouse.
