James K. Jewell, 48, Irving, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2021,at 10:45 a.m., at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Jewell was born May 21, 1973, in Hillsboro, the son of Benjamin E. and Judy A. (Kamm) Jewell.
He attended Hillsboro High School and had lived in the Hillsboro area his entire life. He had worked as a farm hand.
Mr. Jewell is survived by brothers, Benjamin J. (wife Kathy) Jewell, of Romeoville, Jeffrey O. (wife Jill) Jewell, of Vandalia, and Thomas H. Jewell (companion Kristey Connolly) of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
