Henrietta I. (Gravot) Richardson, 95, of Sorento, died on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 23, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Wes Hart officiating. Interment followed at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights. Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Richardson was born on Friday, Dec. 9, 1927, in East St. Louis, to John and Inetta (Brown) Gravot. She worked as a meat cutter for Hunter Packing.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by her sons, Joseph (Janet) Richardson of Sorento and John (Brenda) Richardson of Belleville; sister, Marie Dehler of Red Bud; grandchildren, Joseph (Kelly) Richardson, III, of Greenville, Jason Richardson of Sorento, Tammy (Scott) Thompson of Littleton, CO, John (Sandy) Richardson Jr. of Sorento, Don (Sabrina) Richardson of Millstadt and Darla Richardson of Freeburg; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Richardson; a daughter, Joetta Richardson: siblings, John Gravot, Galon Gravot and Margaret Demond; and a grandson, William Richardson.
