Harold Weller, 89, of Hillsboro, died Friday Nov. 17, 2023, at 4:12 a.m. at Montgomery  Nursing and Rehab in Taylor Springs.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with funeral mass following at 11 a.m. Father Daniel Willenborg of  St. Agnes Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro, where military rites will be accorded.

Mr. Weller was born Jan. 1, 1934 in Witt, to the late Arthur and Bernadine (Niehaus) Weller. He is a graduate of Witt High School and served in the U.S. Army, spending some time in Japan. He married Faye Edwards, and she survives in Hillsboro.

Mr. Weller worked for 35 years as the hot end supervisor at Hillsboro Glass Co. in Hillsboro, and as a driver for Roger Jennings in Hillsboro and Steve Schmidt Chevrolet in Litchfield, IL. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus both in Hillsboro. He loved watching St. Louis Blues hockey and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He loved spending time with family and watching his nephew and grandson in any activity they were involved in. He had a passion for cars, especially T-Birds.

Mr. Weller is survived by his wife Faye; one son, Anton (Gloria) Weller of Hillsboro; grandson Steven Weller of St. Charles, MO; brother Gary (Suzanne) Weller of Witt and sister, Joyce Ondrey of Witt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Jean Borgic.
