Gloria Darlene Edwards, 80, of Litchfield, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 7, at 10 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. A private burial will follow in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Edwards was born June 19, 1941, in Litchfield, the daughter of Mary Ellen Knaggs and Delmo Ferrari. She married Walter (Mannie) Edwards.
She graduated from Litchfield High School and had worked as a lifeguard, at Yate’s Bakery, and then as a stewardess. She had lived for a while in California and Collinsville. After marrying, she and Mr. Edwards lived in Idaho, Indiana, Colorado, Massachusetts, Ohio and Connecticut before moving back to Litchfield. Once back, she was the proud owner of a women’s clothing store. Mrs. Edwards was a Brownie troop leader, cheerleading coach, and boosterclub backer. She was a talented listener and trusted advisor to many.
She is survived by her husband, Delmo; children Greg and Andra; sister-in-law Nancy; sister Vickie (husband Daniel) Ronen; brother Randy (wife Suzanne); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda; and brother Bud.
