Geri Ann Schoen, 73, of Carlinville, died at her residence on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at 1:18 p.m.
Funeral services will take place Monday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld. Burial will be at Benld Cemetery.
Mrs. Schoen was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Springfield, to Joseph Trojaniak and Bernice Bili Trojaniak. She married Ronald Schoen on July 12, 1975, in Benld.
After having received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, she was an elementary school teacher for Litchfield, Carlinville and Gillespie. She enjoyed being with her family.
Mrs. Schoen is survived by her spouse, Ron Schoen of Carlinville; children, Kari (Dee) Roller of Mahomet and Joey (Ashley) Schoen of Bloomington; grandchildren, Joseph Roller and Andrew Roller; and sister, Jo Ann Hill of Naperville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother in law, Harold Hill.
