George Garrett Shaw, 84, of Riverton, died on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Mr. Shaw will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where he will receive military honors and a prayer service. The date will be announced shortly. Cremation services are being accorded. Services are being handled by Wilson Park Funeral Home of Rochester.
Mr. Shaw was born on Aug. 6, 1941, the son of Garrett and Mary (Prunty) Shaw in Carrollton. After high school, he served in the United States Navy and was a retired Teamster and Trucker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking. He was a lifetime staunch St. Louis Cardinal fan.
He is survived by his spouse, Lynn Williams of Riverton; daughters, Sharon (Ron Ray) Williams of Riverton and Melissa (Eugene) Loecken of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Alex Hill, Emily Loecken and Jake Ray; siblings, Ronnie (Faye) Shaw of Ashland, Charles (Kay) Shaw of Litchfield, Barbara (Steve) Tinsley of Grandview, MO, and Jerry (Diana) Shaw of Litchfield; stepchildren, Kate, Whittley and Billie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
