Gary “Doc” Morrow, 76, of Hillsboro, died at 10:35 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
No services are planned. Hough-Dean is assisting the family.
Mr. Morrow was born on Dec. 26, 1949, in Donnellson, a son to John A. and Lorraine A. (Locke) Morrow. He married Cathy Morrow; they later divorced.
Mr. Morrow was a coal miner and later on in his career an over-the-road truck driver. He was member of the National Rifle Association who enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns and riding his side by side.
Mr. Morrow is survived by his daughter, Vicky (Jim) Armbruster of Donnellson; brother, Larry (Betty) Morrow of Staunton; sister, Ruth (Larry) Loveless of Gillespie; grandchildren, Amanda (Alex) Wall of Sorento and Jimmy (Rachel) Armbruster of Livingston; and his great-grandchildren, Willow, Lily, Haley and Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Morrow.
