Four Fatalities On Sunday Afternoon

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office responded to four fatalities–including three from accidents–all within about three hours on Sunday afternoon, June 6.

John Campbell, 42, of Irving, was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Walshville Trail, just west of the bridge west of Hillsboro.  The accident occurred at 12:16 p.m. and 16 members of the Hillsboro Fire Department responded.  They were on the scene for 50 minutes.

Steven Douglas, 41, of Witt, was pronounced dead at 1:06 p.m. at a residence on East Mitchell Street in Witt.  An autopsy is pending, and Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Kurt Bouillon, 61, of Carlinville, was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield following a traffic accident at Union and Illinois in Litchfield.  Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.

Chad Stewart, 44, of Hillsboro, was pronounced dead at 3:15 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital following an ATV accident on Irving Road west of Nokomis.  Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
