Finley James Francis Lane, infant, died on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at 7:56 a.m. at his home.

The family will accept visitors from 1 p.m., until the service time, on Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday Oct. 9, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jon Magnuson, minister of the Beacon Church in Litchfield, officiating. Following the service, burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. The Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Finley was born on Aug. 3, 2021, to Joseph A. Lane and Jade Eryn Clay Hardt. He had a favorite blanket that went everywhere with him and liked to be held and rocked while watching T.V. with his dad. For being so little, Finley loved being around vehicles and watching them being worked on. He was excited to hear his favorite music. His smile, coos and giggles will always be cherished.

Finley is survived by his parents; grandparents,                                 Jason and Katie Flitz, and Blaze (Cheryl  Schmidt) Hardt; great-grandparents, Lindell and Vernetta Hardt, David and Marilyn Davis and Chris “Granny” Lane; great-great-grandmother, Ailene Schmidt; aunts, Oliva Flitz, Jewel (Tyler Masinelli) Hardt, Alyssa Rauzi, Tegan (Riley Curtis) Jackson, Taylor Maguire, Jessie Maguire, Raimie Hicks, Josie Shelton, Helen and Dakota Vargo; uncles, Garrett (Rylie Jagosh) Flitz, and Dominic (Michelle Thompson) Vargo; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandma, Emra Hardt; great uncle, Lucas Hardt; uncle, and name sake, Dalton Finley; and aunt Jordan Flitz.

 Memorial contributions may be directed to the Finley James Francis Memorial Fund at the Bank and Trust in Litchfield.
