The Pro-Mods were back in action at Macon Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 14, including the Hillsboro foursome of Kevin Rench, Justin Reynolds and brothers Evan and Nathan Lynch.
It would be a tough night for the county crew as just one of the four made it into the top 10 in the feature.
That lucky one would be Evan Lynch, who qualified second in his heat and started in row two for the feature. Battling a tight race car, Lynch would slip back a little, but held on for an eighth place finish in the 15-lap finale.
Justin Reynolds and Nathan Lynch would be just outside the top 10 as they finished 11th and 12th respectively. Kevin Rench would be two spots behind the duo, finishing 14th out of 16 cars.
Saturday’s race in Macon would be the second of the weekend for Nathan Lynch, who also raced at Highland Speedway the night before. Lynch battled through his heat race and started 17th out of 21 cars in the feature. He made a few adjustments and made up a lot of ground, earning the hard charger award and earning a 10th place finish in Highland.
Both Macon and Highland will be back in action on Aug. 21, with Macon also featuring the POWRi Midget and Micro series that night.
