Elaine M. Branham, 73, of Witt, died at her home on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 12:04 a.m.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Chad Zueck officiating. Burial will take place at Witt Cemetery in Witt. Following the services, a dinner will be held at the Witt Lions Club. The family requests casual attire.
Mrs. Branham was born on Oct. 5, 1952, in Witt, the daughter of Emery Harston and Rosella (Moroney) Harston. She was united in marriage to Cecil Branham in September of 1996 in Witt. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2005.
She worked as a certified nursing assistant in health care, where she dedicated herself to caring for others throughout her career.
Mrs. Branham is survived by her children, Crystal (companion Lee Coke) Winans of Witt, Melissa (companion Paul Bartle)Vaughn of Witt and Brian (Sarah) Britton of Sullivan; grandchildren, Joseph Brown, Dustin Vaughn, Dakota Winans, Zack Vaughn, Amanda Clark and Alexis Britton; great-grandchild, Ripley Winans; siblings, Charlie (Andrea) Harston of Witt, Gary (Joanne) Harston of Moweaqua, Herbie (Leanne) Harston of Nokomis, Kelly (Diantha) Harston of Witt, Linda (Larry) Seifert of Nokomis and Connie (Bo) Carroll of Vandalia; many nieces and nephews; extended family including honorary parents, Bill and Gerry Harris; honorary siblings, Wayne and Debbie Harris, Bill Dean Harris, Jeffrey Harris, Melody and Pete Ceseratti and Terry and Coleen Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Branham; and siblings, Ronnie Harston, Bill Lee Harris Jr., and Vickie Cramer.
