Dorothy Marie Miller, 89, formerly of Litchfield and Berea, KY, died on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her residence in College Station, TX.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 1301 N State St. in Litchfield. Pastor Fred Kraemer will officiate. Burial will follow in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Miller was born to the late Norman and Helen (Johnson) Schuette in Litchfield on March 5, 1937. She was the wife of the late John Edwin Miller, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage until his passing.
Mrs. Miller was a long-time employee of the Berea Citizen newspaper and is remembered for her involvement with many local organizations from PTO and the League of Women Voters to the BCHS Band Boosters.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed cooking, gardening, and extensive travel adventures with her husband, Edwin. An avid animal lover, she was a world-class cat lover. She was of the Lutheran faith, attending St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington, KY.
Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons, John “Jack” Miller of Bryan, TX, and Michael Miller of Richmond, KY; and one grandson, Zachary Miller of Tomball, TX.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Lehnert; and daughter-in-law, Debra Miller.
