Donna Lee Traylor, 93, of Coffeen, died at 9:47 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 1, at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at Coffeen United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kathy Lewis, Pastor of Coffeen United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Coffeen.
Mrs. Traylor was born July, 1, 1929, in Coffeen, to Oscar and Fairy (Snow) Thacker. She married Don T. Traylor in 1948 in Coffeen, and he preceded in death in 2000. Mrs. Traylor graduated from Coffeen High School and Business School in Omaha, NE. In her life she worked as a secretary at Hillsboro Garment Factory in Litchfield and Hillsboro, for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Traylor also owned a retail furniture store in Hillsboro for almost 30 years.
Mrs. Traylor is survived by children, David (Mary) Traylor of Donnellson, Deanna “Dee Dee” (“Skip” Harry) Hodson of Vandalia and Dan (Cindy) Traylor of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Toni Traylor Cordes, Jason Traylor, Jon Hellberg, Tyler Renfro, Spencer Renfro, and Logan Renfro; and great-grandchildren, Kelse, Mackenzie, Harper, Logan, Hunter, Mason, Ashley and Karson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Thacker in 1998.
