Donald James “Jim” Wyrick, 79, died peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026, and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Mr. Wyrick was born on March 3, 1947, in Wyandotte, OK, to Jack and Duella Wyrick. He grew up in Wyandotte and graduated from high school there in 1965. He later made his home in Carl Junction, MO, before moving to Hillsboro in 1994, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Mr. Wyrick was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and pursuing the hobbies he loved. He found happiness in fishing, woodworking, building hot rods, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and remodeling homes throughout the Hillsboro area. He especially looked forward to spending his winter months in South Padre Island, TX. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family.
Mr. Wyrick will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his generous spirit and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Mr Wyrick is survived by his loving wife, Jana Paxson Wyrick; his sister, Dianne Headlee of Miami, OK; his children, Danny (Melissa) Dover of Billings, MO, Jennifer (Mark) Lowe of Kansas City, MO, Amy (Jake) Kennedy of Carl Junction, MO, Jenna (Jeff) Oskin of Elmhurst and Jon (Laura) Sharp of Naperville. He also leaves behind 14 beloved grandchildren and 12 cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Wyrick’s honor to Paws Care, Inc. of Montgomery County.
