Dolores Esther Egelhoff, 92, of Litchfield, died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Private family funeral services will be held. The Rev. Fred Kraemer of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Egelhoff was born on the family farm in Litchfield on Feb. 20, 1933, a daughter of William H. and Esther (Striegel) Meyer. She married Darrell Leon Egelhoff on Dec. 21, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield and they enjoyed sixty years of marriage until his passing on Sept. 22, 2013.
Mrs. Egelhoff had been employed through the years at the Litchfield Egg Plant, Pfolsgrof Jewelry and the Litchfield High School cafeteria. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed bowling and reading. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
Mrs. Egelhoff is survived by her son, Mark Egelhoff of Mesa, AZ; and grandson, Cody Egelhoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Esther Meyer; husband, Darrell Egelhoff; son, Mike Egelhoff; and siblings, Delmar Meyer, Kenneth Meyer, Earl Meyer and Marvella Carney.
