Diana (Diane) Marie Gross, 78, of Corpus Christi, TX, formerly of Farmersville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date in August, when family and friends can gather to honor and remember her together.

Mrs. Gross was born on May 27, 1947, to Thomas and Rosemary Pinnell in Detroit, MI. She was raised in Farmersville, where she graduated from Lincolnwood High School in 1965. She married her husband of 58 years, James W. Gross, on March 16, 1968. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She deeply cherished time spent with her family and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless smiles and laughter into her life. She especially treasured spending winters in Texas and traveling with her beloved husband, creating memories together year after year. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, playing bingo, relaxing by the pool, dancing and  sharing good times with friends and family. Her warmth, love and  devotion to those closest to her will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Gross is survived by her husband, James Gross of Golden Eagle; daughters, Kerri (Brian) of Plainview and Denise (Teddy) of Palmyra; sisters, Emma (Paul) Esker of Richmond, KY and  Susan (Ronald) Convery of Carlinville; aunt, Nancy Lenzi of Taylorville; grandchildren, Brandon Buckner, Katie Stults, Bailey Martin, Jacob Bettis, Caleb Bettis and  Cody Austwick; great-grandchildren, Arlie Bettis, Lettie Bettis, Wren Stults and  Callan Stults; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas W. Pinnell and Rosemary Pinnell and  brother, Thomas W. Pinnell Jr.
