Debra Sue Page, 62, of Walshville, died suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Jan. 10, beginning at 11 a.m. at Route 138 Cafe, formerly Sunset Restaurant. Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive is assisting the family.

Mrs. Page was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Owensboro, KY, to Wanda Smeathers. She met the love of her life, Arthur Page, in 1988, and after a long courtship, the couple wedded in 2001 at their home in Mt. Olive.

She began her work life young and dedicated many years to her love of cooking. She had a way of feeding everyone’s bellies and souls. After many years of working and operating Crossroads Restaurant in Mt. Olive, she and her husband opened and operated the Sunset Restaurant in Mt. Olive from 1999 to 2011.

Mrs. Page leaves her only son, Shane Embry, age 38, who was the absolute love of her life. The bond they shared was immeasurable. Her family meant more to her than anything else in the world. She doted on each of her nieces and nephews, who are all sure they were her favorite.

She showed up when it mattered and would defend and stand up for her loved ones. Should the need arise, she kept them safe and constantly checked in on people.

In addition to her son, Mrs. Page is survived by her stepdaughter, Lisa Pellegrino of Hudson, FL; stepsons, Steve Page of Beverly Hills, FL, and Eric Page of Hudson, FL; siblings, John (Denise) Embry of New Douglas, Patricia Covington of Mt. Olive, Chuck Embry of Burgeon, KY, Lisa Sanchez of Fordsville, KY, Dawn Bowers of Walshville and Michael (Amy) Doty of Hartford, KY; 12 nieces and nephews; and 20 great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
