Mr. Hobson was born on July 1, 1955, in Carrollton, one of four sons to William and Helen (Lind) Hobson.

Mr. Hobson’s favorite thing to do was watch the sunset. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling, Indian artifacts, shark tooth hunting, keeping score at the HJHS boys and girls basketball games, visiting and traveling with his friends, but most of all, he loved spending time with the family he adored. Last July, he was able to combine two of his favorite pastimes, travel and his family, when they all took an Alaskan cruise together.
Mr. Hobson is survived by his wife; two daughters, Kari (Matthew) Crepps of St. Charles, MO, and Kathryn (Nicholas) Cramer of Glen Carbon; three brothers, Russell (Donna) Hobson of Carrollton, Kenneth Hobson of Eldred, and Steve (Becky) Hobson of Macomb; and four grandchildren, Spencer and Oliver Cramer and Alice and Harry Crepps.
