David Allyn Richards Drake, 33, of Girard, died on Sunday evening, Aug. 30, 2026, at his home in Girard.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Richards Drake was born June 7, 1993, in Springfield, a son of Lora Ellen Richards and Daniel David Drake. He graduated from North Mac High School with the class of 2011. He married Vicky Castleberry on Oct. 8, 2016, at Terry Park in Palmyra. They divorced but were later reunited.
He was a tire specialist at D and D Service Center, working beside his father both at the shop and on the family farm. He was a member of the Macoupin County Farm Bureau and the Iron Sleds MC in Nilwood. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and deer hunting. More than anything he loved spending time with his boys.
Mr. Richards Drake is survived by Vicky Castleberry of Girard; mother, Lora Ellen Richards of Virden; father, Daniel David (Dara) Drake of Girard; sons, Silas Daniel Drake and Easton Matthew Wiser; grandparents, George and Debbie Richards Sr. of Virden and Dave and Sharlynn Drake of Girard; brother, Bryant Jerald “BJ” Chausse of Nokomis; sisters, Tasha McMasters of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrea Jennings of Glenarm and McKena (Colten) Cottle of Kansas, IL; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Travis Drake.
