Danny C. Robinson Sr., 73, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 at 12:22 a.m. at Evelyn’s Hospice House in Creve Coeur, MO.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the memorial service following at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. The Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, will officiate. Bass Patton Dean funeral home in Hillsboro is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Robinson was born on November 26, 1950 in Litchfield, to the late Chidester Cullum and Grace Ann (Boyd) Robinson. He attended Litchfield High School. He married Belinda Bramel on June 6, 1970 in Chicago, and she survives in Hillsboro. He lived in Taylor Springs, Litchfield and Hillsboro throughout his life.
Mr. Robinson worked for the City of Hillsboro as Street Department Superintendent for more than 30 years.
Mr. Robinson enjoyed working on lawnmowers, loved to spend time with his grandkids and loved fishing and camping
He is survived by his children, Brenda (Tom Davis) Robinson of Hillsboro and Danny (Ginny Pryor) Robinson Jr. of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Trey Robinson, Kaitlin Robinson, Kyle (Julie) Davis, Alexis Davis and Jacob (Zoe Zachocki) Davis; great-grandchildren, Riley, Gage, Marlie, Nolan and Colton; and siblings, John (Pat) Robinson of Hillsboro, Della (Jerry) Dobrinich of Springfield, Georgia (Archie) DeWitt of Litchfield, Peggy (Jimmy John) Hamilton of Litchfield and Cecil Robinson of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gerald “Zeb” Robinson, Roland “Hub” Robinson, Carl Robinson, Robert “Ray” Robinson, Myrtle Robinson, Grace Ann Miller, and Mary Matilda “Tilly” Miller.
