Panama’s Case Cruthis would pick up another win in the Crossroads Cross Country Racing Series on June 19, to move into the top five in points in the four stroke class.
Cruthis, who missed round one of the series in February, picked up his second straight win at the Blackhawk event in Plymouth, IN, running a time of 45:38 for eight laps, the only four stroke competitor to complete that many.
Cruthis cousin, Gideon Cruthis also ran in the four stroke class and finished eighth, completing six laps in 46:53.
Coffeen’s Brian Austin and Carlinville’s Rylan Frankford also ran at Plymouth, finishing seventh in Vet C and ninth in Pro respectively.
While Case Cruthis’ winning streak would end at two, he still had a solid outing in round five of the series on July 3, which was held at the 4 Arches event in Greencastle, IN. Cruthis completed 10 laps in a time of 46:24 to place fourth behind Emma Fortune, Daniel Priddy and Jayson Shaff.
Gideon Cruthis also had a solid outing, completing seven laps in 50:56 to take 13th out of 15 competitors.
In the overall standings for the season, Case Cruthis is currently fifth with 76 points, just one behind Jace Lemon for fourth, while Gideon Cruthis is eighth with 58 points.
The next race in the Crossroads Cross Country Series is July 24-25 at High Fly in Salem, IN.
