Carolyn ‘Kay’ Grill, 82

Carolyn “Kay” Grill, 82, of Hillsboro, died on Monday, May 25, 2020, at 3:15 p.m. at her residence.

Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mrs. Grill was born April 18, 1938, in Litchfield, to Fred and Helen (Koonce) Simmons. She married Harold Grill on Feb. 14, 1959, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2016.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School and had worked at Security Savings and Loan.

Mrs. Grill loved to bowl and had bowled on many teams and in many tournaments. During her lifetime, she resided in Litchfield and Hillsboro.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Burritt of Irving; son, Kevin Michael Grill of Carbondale; five grandchildren, Amy Golden, Amber Golden, Andrew Golden, Sam Golden and Vincent J. Burritt; three great-grandchildren, Enciin Golden, Azairah Golden and Seryn Golden; and two sisters, Patti Pence of Litchfield and Connie Watkins of New Berlin.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grill was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Vincent B. Burritt; and sister, Geraldine Hancock.
