Betty Jeanne Buske, 94, of Litchfield, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at the Litchfield Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Buske will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Mrs. Lynne Taylor, Ministerial Chairperson of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.
Mrs. Buske was born Jan. 26, 1930, in St. Louis, MO., to Jack C. and Retha E. (Hine) Woods. She graduated from Litchfield Community High School with the class of 1948. She married Harold William Buske on Jan. 24, 1948 at Mt. Olive, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2017.
Mrs. Buske was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield. She was a longtime member of the Litchfield Country Club, and a past member of the Beta Phi Sigma Sorority.
Mrs. Buske is survived by her sons, William Buske of Virden, Jim (Beth) Buske of Decatur and Walter Buske of Litchfield; nine grandchildren, Lisa Cox, Matt (Jana) Buske, Kate Lay, Jennifer (Brian) Hair, Emily (Brian) Turk, Tim Buske, Adrienne (Pat) Conzemius, Grant (Melissa) Buske and Alyssa Buske; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson
In addition to her husband, Harold, Mrs. Buske is preceded in death by her parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Bill Roach.
