Anna Mae Estell, 75, of Taylorville formerly of Litchfield, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at 7:41 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Floyd Terry officiating. Burial will be in Harvel Cemetery in Harvel.

Mrs. Estell was born June 20, 1946, in Taylorville, the daughter of William and Adeline (Stephens) Bates. She married Donald Wayne Estell on March 25, 1995 in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22. 2007.

Mrs. Estell was a graduate of Litchfield High School and was a certified nursing assistant at HSHS St. Francis Hospital. Previously, she had worked at Meadow Manor nursing home in Taylorville and Turtle Creek nursing home in Litchfield.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra (husband Timothy) Sparling, of Taylorville, Darla (husband Michael) Stephens, of Morrisonville, Shona Baker, of Kincaid, Dedra Baker, of Nokomis, and Gina (husband Roy) Blanchette, of Mattoon; step-children Lisa (husband David) Lindsay, of Litchfield, Karin (husband Ronald) Lowery, of Gillespie, David (wife Sherri) Estell, of Sorento, and James (wife Dawn) Estell, of Oreana; half-sisters Carol (husband Andy) Jeffers, of Litchfield, Ethel Lash, of Kincaid, and Tamara Heyen, of Kincaid; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Estell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brother Larry Payne; half-brothers James and Roy Bates; half-sister Patricia Reid; step-daughter Diana Hanafin; and grandchildren Charles Barker, and Ashley Lucycow.
