Adam David Thomason, 33, of Bethalto, died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Mr. Thomason was born Feb. 5, 1989, in Alton, to Rick and Carol (Hopper) Thomason. He married Kristen Goben on June 2, 2018, and she survives.

He was eagerly anticipating the birth of their baby boy, who will be born on Feb. 10, 2023.

Mr. Thomason was a 2007 graduate of Staunton High School and received as associate’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix. He was employed as a TSA agent at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis, MO. He previously worked for several security companies.

He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Raymond. He enjoyed taking day trips with his wife, spending time with his brother and brothers-in-law, hanging out with his two dogs and two cats and listening to music.

Mr. Thomason was proud to be an organ donor. Seven lives will potentially be saved by his gift.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jonah David Thomason; mother, Carol Haase of Worden; father, Rick (Vicki) Thomason of Staunton; sister, Lindsey (Jeremy) Heigert of Litchfield; brother, Nathan Thomason of Worden; niece and nephews, Gretchen, Josiah, Gabe and Noah Heigert; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Diane and David Goben of Glenarm; and brother-in-law, Kurt Goben of Springfield.

Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walter Haase; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Eula Hopper of Worden; and paternal grandparents, Eldon and Ruby Thomason of Staunton.
