28 New COVID Cases So Far This Week


The Montgomery County Health Department reports 28 new COVID-19 coronavirus cases this week for a positivity rate of 3.1 percent since Sunday, Nov. 1

In total, 667 cases have been confirmed in Montgomery County since the pandemic began; 17 of those have died from the disease, one fewer than last reported.  One of the two deaths announced over the weekend has been reclassified to another county, according to the health department.

According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, 67 of the 70 cases among staff at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro have now recovered from the virus, as have 26 of the 29 inmates.
