Wayne R. Graff, 92, of Litchfield, formerly of Chestnut, died on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care in Hillsboro.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Leanna Cemetery in Chestnut. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Graff was born June 13, 1931, in Minier, a son of Harvey and Bertha (Fine) Graff.
A member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose Lodge in Litchfield, he loved working with his hands, tinkering and fixing anything and enjoyed putting together puzzles. He was self-employed as a grain, livestock and tree farmer. He also worked for Mt. Pulaski Products, and retired in 1992.
Mr. Graff was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark W. Graff; eight siblings; and wife, Lois Ann (Clark) Graff.
He is survived by his sons, Doug E. Graff of Atlanta and Curt D. (Shawn) Graff of Plainfield, IN; soul mate, Inga Bish; foster children, Jeanine Bakken, Judy Presswood, Charles "Butch" Mathias and Suzette Mathias; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
