Wanda Lee Beck, 81, of Auburn, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Feb. 22, 2024, at Arcadia Care in Auburn.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Bost Hill Cemetery in Fillmore. Hough and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beck was born to her parents, John M. and Mattie M. (Edwards) Dalby on Jan. 8, 1943, in Carlinville. She married Jerry Lee Welge Sr. in 1960, which later ended in divorce. She then married Glen William Beck Jr. in 1990, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Beck attended Carlinville High School and went to Lincoln Land Community College to become a CNA. She eventually came to work for the Illinois Department of Transportation and later retired. Mrs. Beck then spent the rest of her years as a homemaker. She attended the Baptist Church in Raymond and then the Assembly of God in Pawnee.
Surviving Mrs. Beck is her son, Jerry (June) Welge Jr. of Texas and daughter, Penny (Charlie) Estes of Divernon; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Carmicheal of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen; grandchild Joshua Welge in 2020; and siblings Joann Sereg and Louis Dalby.
