Shirley M. Warner, 77, of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her home.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Ramsey. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will take place at Ramsey Cemetery.

Mrs. Warner was born on June 4, 1940, in rural Assumption, to Harley Clark and Myrtle Mae (Smith) Burke. She married Gary Herman Warner on May 11, 1968, in Assumption, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2017.

She was a homemaker, and former employee of Mallory's in Pana.

Mrs. Warner loved gardening, cooking and canning.

She is survived by a son, Scott (Michelle) Warner of Shobonier; three daughters, Stephanie (Steve) Carruthers of Bingham and Sue and Sandy Warner, both of Vandalia; grandchildren, Cassandra and Kal Cook, Ashley and Isaiah Miller, Ryan, Whitney, Tyler and Seth Carruthers, Trevor (Autumn) and Gabrielle Harre, Haley (Kain) Warner and Cody, Cameron and Caden Warner; seven great-grandchildren, Kelli, Kora and Karson Cook, Rebecca, Bethany and Leah Miller and Mason Harre; brothers, Ralph (Mary) Burke of Mt. Auburn, LeRoy Burke of Shelbyville; and a sister, Ruth Johnson of Nokomis.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert and Dale Burke.
