Shirley “Jean” (Lentz) Borcherding, 80, of Saint Charles, MO, died Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 25, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, located at 620 Jefferson St. in St. Charles. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John U.C.C. Cemetery. The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home.
Mrs. Borcherding was born Dec. 11, 1943. She delighted in organizing a Christmas baking weekend with her family annually. She had a passion for reading and indulged in crafting, particularly quilting. Traveling with her family and friends on bus trips to destinations such as Branson, MO, brought her immense joy. She was deeply cherished and will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mrs. Borcherding was preceded in death by her husband, the late Elwood “Woody” P. Borcherding; and parents, Mary and James Lentz.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Michelle) Borcherding; grandaughters,Helena and Nora Borcherding; siblings Richard (Joyce) Lentz, Marlyn (Gary) McCafferty and Bob Lentz; and many in-laws, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Borcherding was preceded in death by her husband, the late Elwood “Woody” P. Borcherding; and parents, Mary and James Lentz.
