Sandra K. Bishop, 76, of Litchfield, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 at 6:09 a.m. at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Bishop’s family will host a “Food, friends and Memories” evening, Friday, Nov. 24, at the Litchfield Moose Lodge starting at 6 p.m. A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  The Rev. Tim Barbee, pastor of the Christian Church of Litchfield will officiate.  Cremation will follow the services. 

Mrs. Bishop was born on Nov. 10, 1947 in Litchfield, the daughter of Arthur and Doris Mae (Barker) Ulrich. She married Ronald Lee Bishop on March 1, 1969 at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Hillsboro, and they later divorced. 

Mrs. Bishop was employed as a waitress for several years.  She had worked at Owens Country Corner, The Ariston Café, and Maverick Family Steakhouse. She owned her own restaurant, the Moonlight Café, located at the former Owens Country Corner location at I-55 and IL Rt. 108 junction. She was currently the marina manager of Lake Lou Yaeger for the City of Litchfield and has served in that capacity for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield and the Women of the Moose, Chapter #581 of Litchfield.  Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren, making every effort to attend their sporting events. 

Mrs. Bishop is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Kelly) Bishop, Jr., of Frankfort and Cory (Shannon) Bishop of Litchfield and her daughter, Keri Bishop of Litchfield; brother, Richard (Justine “Dusty”) Ulrich of East Alton; step sister, Janet Jackson of Litchfield; eight grandchildren, Haley, Allison, Chloe Bishop, Kyra and Brawly Jacobs, Rylie Segarra, Raquel and Brock Bishop; and one great-grandson, Rowan Maddox. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Zyan Bishop and a nephew, Brandon Ulrich.
