Regina Irene Painter, 92, of Litchfield, died at the home of her son, Kevin Painter and his wife Doreka, at 3:09 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield, from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will follow at the church at noon with the Rev. Gary Schwab officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Painter was born Dec. 10, 1930, the daughter of Frederick and Bertha (Taylor) Andres. She was a graduate of Litchfield Community High School with the class of 1948. She married Maynard Sterling “Wimpy” Painter on June 13, 1953 at the First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2010.

Mrs. Painter was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield and loved attending church and church activities. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Women, the church choir and taught Sunday school for several years. Mrs. Painter was a Brownie troop leader for several years with the Girl Scouts, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was employed for a few years at Brubaker Motors. She loved traveling with her husband and family, spending time with her children and grandchildren and friends.

Mrs.Painter is survived by her children, son, Kevin (Doreka) Painter and daughter, Dawn (Larry) Pezold, all of Litchfield; 11 grandchildren, Levi (Sheizel) Painter of Raymond, Travis (Sarah) Painter of Mt. Olive, Frank Painter of Seattle, WA, Sarah (Cole) Phipps of Litchfield, Claire Painter of Litchfield, Mahina (Donovan) Dela Paz of Eugene, OR, Samuel Painter of Hilton Head, SC, Rebecca Painter of Springfield, Georgina Painter of Litchfield, Katie (Brian) McIntyre of Galena and Jacob (Casey) Pezold of Ft. Mill, SC and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family asks that memorials be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield.
