Peggy Louise (Duncan) White, 96, of Coffeen, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at 7:50 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Cremation rites were accorded and services will be planned for a later date with burial in Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg.
Mrs. White was born Feb. 16, 1927 in Robinson, to George and Mary (Mills) Duncan. Mrs. White graduated from Robinson High School and went on to marry Paul E. White on March 12, 1945 in Robinson. They were married for 73 years before his passing on Dec. 6, 2021. She spent most of her life in Robinson, Hillsboro and Coffeen. She worked for Heath Candy Company in Robinson and then retired as a cook from Coffeen Grade School after 17 years. Mrs. White had a love for Bingo and enjoyed her family very much.
Mrs. White is survived by her three sons, Rex E. (Sandra) White of Litchfield, Gary W. (Pamela) White of Benld and Randy P. (Barbara) White of Fillmore; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Doris L. Harrison of Robinson; brother-in-laws, Edward (Pat) White of Robinson, Hugh (Celeste) White of Annapolis; and sister-in-law, Louise (Donald) Williamson of Robinson.
Mrs. White was preceded by her husband, parents and brother-in-laws, Harold Harrison and Donald White, sister-in-law, Erma White.
