Margaret L. (Allen) Lebeter, 96, died at home in Boca Raton, FL, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
A grave side service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Becker and Son Funeral Home of Mt. Olive is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Lebeter was born on June 8, 1926, in Taylorville, the daughter of Clarence and Inez Allen. She was raised and educated in Litchfield. After high school graduation she moved to Chicago for work and there married the love of her life, Donald D. Lebeter.
They couple had two children, Richard and Mary Margaret. She continued to work after he children were born and many people knew her as “Margie the Cosmetologist” from Red Star Pharmacy. She cared about her customers, and they loved her beautiful smile. The Lebeters retired to Mt. Olive (Lake Ka-Ho), where she became an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Home Makers Extension and TOPS.
Mrs. Lebeter is survived by six, grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, La Donna Barnes of Atwater; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all four siblings, Robert, Bill, Mary (Athy) and John preceded her in death.
