Leroy Henry Kuhl, 76, of Coffeen, died Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2:10 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro.
Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.
Mr. Kuhl was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Breese, to the late Leo and Henrietta Mary (Hermling) Kuhl. He graduated from Greenville High School. He married Sally Campbell, and they later divorced. He then married Paula M. Randle in Florida, and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2019.
He spent ten years employed at Olin in Alton. He then worked as a laborer for Union Labor Local #1084 in Hillsboro until retirement. During his life he lived in Panama, Sorento and Coffeen.
Mr. Kuhl is survived by his children, Veronica Cofer of Donnellson and Steve Kuhl of Coffeen; stepchildren Ben (Trisha) Johnson and Haley (Chris) Glenn; five grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bernetta Spaeth, Ruth Ann Daiber, George “Bud” Kuhl, Mary Mullen, Urban Kuhl, Herman “Red” Kuhl, Edward Kuhl, David Kuhl, Mike Kuhl and Aggie Huston.
Mr. Kuhl is preceded by his parents; wife, Paula; son, Danny Kuhl, at six months old, and sisters, Annetta Kuhl-Middleton and Alice Campbell.
