Wilma L. (Schievenin) Boyd, 96, of Schram City, died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at 9 a.m. at Life Care Center of Bridgeton in Bridgeton, MO.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, beginning at 11 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Father Jim Gahan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Guidelines set forth by the CDC will be followed, including social distancing and masks.

Mrs. Boyd was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Witt, to John and Elizabeth (Rodeghier) Schievenin. She married Theodore C. Boyd on Dec. 26, 1944, in Greenville, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1997.

She graduated from Witt High School with the class of 1942, and went on to serve as a garment worker at Hillsboro and Litchfield Dress Factory until her retirement in 1987.

Mrs. Boyd was a member of United Garment Workers Local 394 and Schram City Baptist Church. She loved her animals.

Throughout her lifetime, she resided in Witt and Schram City.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by her children, Norma Gahan of St. Ann, MO, and Ron Boyd of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Lisa (husband Andre) White of St. Louis, MO, Michael (wife Laura) Lynch of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Diane Eoff of St. Charles, MO; three great-grandchildren, Neil White, Erena Frabizio and Joseph Scarsdale; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Robert Boyd in 1988.
