Jason Williamson and the 3X Hillsboro Hustler RC cars were at Slideways Raceway in Brownstown on Saturday, Oct. 31, for the track’s Scared Slideways 75 Halloween special.
Williamson would have a solid night in the street stock class as he nearly made the A-Main. In qualifying, the 3X suffered a stripped right front suspension and did not finish the first round, but fixed the problem by round two and finished third to move on to the B-Main.
In the B-Main, Williamson fell behind early, but was in position to qualify on the final lap when he hit the way. He would finish third, one spot out of the final transfer spot in one of the best races of the night.
In the B-Mod division, the 3X started third and finished fourth in the first round of qualifying. Williamson would make some adjustments and try to do better in round two, but fell back and was forced to work his way up from the C-Main.
In the C-Main, the 3X led for a few laps and eventually finished second, which was good enough to transfer to the B-Main. Starting last, Williamson tried to move up to the A-Main, but it wasn’t in the cards and he took a DNF to end his night.
