William “Bill” P. Beard, 62, of Coffeen died on Jan. 8, 2022, at his residence.
A private burial will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Beard was born on Oct. 10, 1959, in Hillsboro to Howard and Rose Marie (Gates) Beard.
A graduate of Hillsboro High School, he retired after serving 20 years with the United States Navy. After his retirement, he worked at Graham Packaging in Vandalia and delivered for Menards in Springfield.
Mr. Beard is survived by two brothers, Larry Beard of Coffeen and John Beard of Staunton.
