Virgil Dale Bush, Jr., 64, of Mulberry Grove, died on Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 16, at Donnell–Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment followed at Robinson Cemetery. Donnell–Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Bush was born on Jan. 20, 1958, in Centralia. He attended the local schools and graduated from Carlyle High School. Mr. Bush retired after 25 years with Monterey Coal. He worked in Albers until they closed and then Carlinville until he retired. He was married to Felicia Sanders. They divorced. He then married Judith Handegan on July 4, 1998, in Carlyle.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife;mother, Rosemary; children, Tisha (Bob) Lister of Trenton, Nathan Bush of Keyesport and Virgil Dale Bush III of Carlyle; step sons, Denny Smith and Lee Smith, both of Coffeen; sisters, Karen Ruesler of Waterloo and Linda Ferrell of Paola, KS; brother, Richard (Jan) Bush of Decatur; eight grandchildren’ and four great-grandchildren.
