Vincent Lee Calufetti, 61, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 3:30 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the church with Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, officiating. Burial will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Calufetti was born June 4, 1960, in Hillsboro, the son of David Charles and Shirley Mae (Caulk) Calufetti, Sr.

A 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School, he received his bachelor of science degree in psychology and master’s degree in business economics at Arizona State University.

He worked at the Bank of America in Arizona, then worked at Wells Fargo in Arizona in the fraud unit. He also worked for Arizona State Senator John McCain. During his lifetime, he lived in Panama, Phoenix, AZ and Hillsboro.

A member of Laveen Lions in Laveen, AZ, and the Boy Scouts, he loved star gazing and astronomy, as well as Formula 1 racing, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball. He was also an artist who loved to paint.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four siblings, David Charles (wife Connie) Calufetti, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Robin (husband David) Louks of Hillsboro, Mark (wife Diane) Calufetti of Maryland and Maria Calufetti of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father who died on Aug. 28, 2019.
