Toni Jean Snyder, 70, of Hillsboro, died on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Ms. Snyder was born Feb. 19, 1951, in Taylorville, to Lloyd Edward and Regina Mae (Donovan) Snyder, Jr.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1969 and attended Robert Morris Business School.
Ms. Snyder worked as an office secretary for private contractors in the Hillsboro area and in quality control at Hillsboro Glass Factory until it closed. She had trained as a CNA and worked at Hillsboro Area Hospital and Tremont Ridge in Hillsboro until she retired in 2014.
A lifelong Hillsboro resident, she enjoyed watching TV, crossword puzzles and loved animals, especially dogs and cats, and family gatherings. She remained her 99-year-old mother’s caregiver until her recent failing health made her unable to continue.
Ms. Snyder is survived by her mother of Hillsboro; and two brothers, James (wife Nancy) Snyder of Hillsboro and Steven Snyder of Lakewood, CO; and nieces and nephews, Andrew Snyder, Laura Snyder and Pat and Amber (Snyder) Glenn.
She was preceded in death by her father.
