Thomas L. Glover, Sr., 73, of Fort Myers, FL, died on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL, surrounded by his wife, son and daughter-in-law.

Mr. Glover wished to be cremated. A private memorial service with family and close friends will be held at a later date.  Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Glover was born on Nov. 5, 1948, in Hillsboro, to Everett “Sunny” C. Glover and Dorothy (May) Glover. He married Linda (Cruise) Glover in 1968. They were married for 53 years, living in Springfield and later settling in Fort Myers Beach, FL, where he began his business, Tommy Tire and Sons.

Mr. Glover obtained his GED in 1967, and enrolled in the U.S. Marine Corps from Feb. 26, 1969, to Feb. 25, 1971, serving in Vietnam for one tour. He was a loyal member of the VFW Post No. #10097, Fort Myers, FL.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Glover is survived by his sons, Tommy Glover Jr. (wife Damary Santiago) Glover of Cape Coral, FL, and Brian Glover of Fort Myers, FL; three grandchildren, Brian Glover II, Jasmin Glover and Jacob Glover; two brothers, Ronald Glover of Raymond and Everett Glover (wife Sherry) of Fort Myers, FL; four sisters, Donna (husband Chip) House of Raymond, Rebecca Cloney of Springfield, Jaynece “GC” Hendrickson of Collinsville and Ginger McCullers of Raymond; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Vicky Cline, Bub Glover and Jim Glover.
